This college-wide effort involves all constituents: faculty, staff, administration, and students.

The Self-Study report is broken down into nine standards, with titles such as "Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship" and "Planning and Governance." A committee is tasked with working on each standard-on each portion of the Self-Study-and the make-up of that group aligns with what is being examined. NECHE Student Committee Members will engage with faculty and staff in this work for the report that is due in 2024. The student perspective is vital to assess Bristol's efforts at achieving each standard.

The Student Committee Member would have similar duties as staff and faculty committee members, which include but are not limited to: attending meetings, engaging in discussion during and between meetings, reviewing and gathering materials in preparation for meetings, and developing/sharing ideas. Meetings are an hour in length and will be conducted online.

  • Attend, and participate in, bi-weekly meetings of the assigned Standard Committee.
  • Review and analyze materials, and generate feedback/ideas for sharing at bi-weekly meetings.
