Responsibilities
As the Network Engineer, you will be responsible for securing and monitoring of First Entertainment Credit Union’s network infrastructure. You will be a primary resource for routing and switching hardware, firewalls, and our wireless networks. You will have an instrumental role within First Entertainment’s Information Technology department in the strategic development of recovery planning and preparing safeguard measures. You will be a go-to for network connectivity issues and play a vital role in analyzing network challenges. Work in tandem with the Network Operating and Security Operating Centers to oversee the monitoring of various logs such as: server, firewall, and intrusion detection logs. You will observe network traffic and have the ability to detect and fortify vulnerabilities within the system.
As a Network Engineer at First Entertainment Credit Union, you will be influential in maintaining the organization compliance in several areas. You will ensure proper technology licensing for vendor used software and internally used software. You will have the ability to collaborate with the internal Risk department on compliance audits and remediations. In addition, you will participate in the implementation of cloud systems within the network. You will analyze the facilities bandwidth requirements and system inter-dependencies, while developing capacity planning models. Moreover, you will assist the Information Technology department with HelpDesk tickets and essentially you will manage all network devices to ensure appropriate function, security and reliability.
