Overview:
Clean and maintain all specified areas of focus. Maintain Back of House areas and flooring based on hotel’s standard of cleanliness. Provide floor care to specified surfaces and maintain the upkeep of their appearance on a consistent basis. Provide deep cleaning or spot cleaning to furniture, carpets and flooring when needed
Responsibilities:
Level One
- Maintain designated focus areas according to hotel’s standards of cleanliness to include: maintain cleaning of focus areas, cleaning floors, upholstery deep cleaning & spot treatment. These are reflected on the property specific checklists for this area and department.
- Keep supplies & areas maintained & organized.
- Remove dirt, smudges and grease from doors and doorframes.
- Dust & clean all furniture in designated areas & floors.
- Remove debris from elevator and tracks maintaining cleanliness and appearance.
- Maintain Back of House flooring needs according to property safety & cleanliness standards as reflected on property specific checklists.
- Report any missing articles, damage or mechanical problems to the Supervisor or Assistant Executive Housekeeper.
- Coordinate with Housekeeper Supervisor on work priorities & provide assistance when needed.
- Dust pictures, frames, mirrors, fire extinguisher boxes, exit signs, air vents & lamps in designated areas.
- Successfully complete all other duties as assigned.
- CRoss training in the Housekeeping ABC's room cleaning system.
- Floor care, metal polishing (escalator - elevators.
- Wall coverings (all types) as well as mirrored and polished surfaces.
Level Two
- Abilities to operate rotary and machine scrubbers without supervision.
- Ability to operate machine scrubbers and rotary brush machines.
- Proven ability to work off of a limited checklist - complete are inspections and complete work orders for maintenance needs.
Level Three
- Proven expertise in machine scrubbres and rotray machines on all types of floor coverings and upholstery. Proven ability to strip and wax/seal floorings.

- Able to understand and apply basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiply and divide in all units of measure) in order to obtain correct dilution ratios, portion control, etc.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two- step instructions. Able to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variation.
- Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 20pounds repetitively during entire shift.
- Good attitude and work ethic practices in order to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.

Education
HS-GED-Work Programme - or Over seas equivalent is desired. Past work experience in a similar or commensurate skill set - hospitable, prison, military experience.
