The janitor works under the direction of the Maintenance Manager to keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

$16.60/hour. Night Shift, Saturday - Wednesday, 9pm to 4am.

Primary Duties:

Kitchen equipment maintenance and cleaning

Facility repairs

Picking up and removing trash

Sweeping and mopping hard floors

Vacuuming carpet areas

Cleaning glass, chrome fixtures and metal work

Cleaning corridors

Cleaning floors

Cleaning stairwells

Cleaning parking lot, including recycling and garbage areas

Cleaning and stocking bathrooms

Dusting furniture, equipment and other spaces

Special projects i.e. roof cleaning, pressure washing, window washing

Other janitorial duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Must be able to work nights including evenings, weekends, and holidays

At least one year with a previous employer

Maintenance, carpentry, janitorial, facilities experience preferred

Ability to work independently following the directions of supervisor

Must be at least 18 years of age

Essential Physical Requirements

Prolonged standing and walking

Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and rotating

Continuous fine motors skills work and gripping with hands

Ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds regularly

Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.

Exposure to temperatures such as walk in coolers and freezers
