Rothman Orthopaedics is looking to hire a full time Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant to join our South NJ team! This individual will provide direct support to our newest Physician Associate. If you are qualified for and interested in this role, please apply.

Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant

Hours: M-F: 7:30am-4:30pm

Qualifications:

  • Must be a CCMA, CRMA, LPN, or ATC
  • CCMA/CRMA - valid national certification or registration required
  • LPN - valid NJ LPN licensure required
  • ATC - valid NJ ATC licensure and BOC certification required
  • Must have 2+ years of experience working in a clinic setting
  • Administrative experience required


Job Summary:
The Non-Surgical Clinical Assistant provides assistance to the Physician and Physician's Assistant with daily administrative and clinical duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Greets patients in the waiting room and escorts them to the exam room. Directs patient to surgery scheduling and/or front desk for checkout.
  • Maintains order, cleanliness, and inventory in the exam room, and prepares exam room for patients to enter.
  • Cleans and autoclaves instruments.
  • Provides and scans proper paperwork to the chart for Physician's review.
  • Records vitals as per Physician's request.
  • Prepares injections for the Physician.
  • Pulls up x-rays, MRI's, CT's, and various studies pertaining to the patient's exam.
  • Assists patient with clothing when necessary.
  • Disposes of bio hazardous waste and sharps according to OSHA regulation, and replaces sharps containers when existing containers are full.
  • Answers telephones in patient areas and provides voicemail coverage for Physician.
  • Requests reports for various facilities for Physicians.
  • Empties and restocks laundry.
  • Scans appointment tracking to identify when patients are ready to be seen by the Physician and directs Physician in patient appointment order.
  • Reviews Physician schedules for chart preparation including ensuring operative reports, dictations, and studies are present in the chart.
  • Completes pre-certifications for MRI's and other Physician orders as necessary.
  • Send Visco Injection authorization request to supplement pre-certification representative
  • Scans information into patient record (including all Physician orders, prescriptions, etc. on the date of service).
  • Covers other areas in the office when not assigned to a Physician.
  • Attends required meetings and participates on committees as requested.
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
