Make a difference in children’s lives as a Nurse at Adelphoi!
A full-time Nurse position is available in Ebensburg, PA.
Monday-Friday daylight, flexibility in hours is required
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor policies and procedures regarding Medication Management
- Train staff members monthly in Oral/Non-Oral Medication Administration and Adelphoi’s Health Policy
- Perform and maintain staff medication administration recertification
- Educate clients, staff, and families about disease processes, medications, and treatment.
- Conduct Medication Cart and Infection Control Surveillance and Prevention audits
- Monitor the management of medications for youth in group living arrangements
- Triage, assess, and treat youth’s chronic/ acute medical needs
- Administer medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions as ordered
- Monitor health status of youth- provide head-to-toe assessment and/or focused assessment and provide recommendations as needed
- Complete required reports and nurse’s notes in a timely manner
- Intervene in crisis situations when appropriate, certify in Safe Crisis Management.
- Sympathetic understanding of maladjusted children
- The position is for a secure setting with travel and mileage reimbursement: 10%, once monthly to (4) Latrobe Secure Homes
- Strong ability to act independently and make sound medical decisions
- On-call requirement: provide medical triage via phone or in the unit (if necessary)- stipend provided, flex time will be granted per communication with the Director of Nursing
- Performs other related duties as required
Education: License Practical Nurse OR Registered Nurse license required with at least 1 year of nursing experience. Must be registered in the state of Pennsylvania.
