Qualifications:
MSN preferred.
PALS certification required.
Certification in pediatric and or Peri-Anesthesia nursing preferred.
Must have prior pediatric peri-anesthesia experience.

The unit-based nurse educator oversees identified groups/departments and works directly with staff, preceptors, education nurse specialists and leaders to design and implement required educational experiences. This position does not manage staff but works collaboratively with others to meet unit goals and requirements.

Assesses educational needs of the team.
Serves as a content expert for those on the team and outside the department for general questions.
Oversees/delivers competency assessments and skill training using various methods such as simulation, train the trainer, one on one and group training.
This position will cover main, Westerville, and Main campus surgery center: pre op, post op, PAT and PACU.
MSN preferred.
Pediatric and /or Peri-anesthesia certification preferred.
CPR instructor certification preferred.
Competency and content expert in pediatric Peri-Anesthesia nursing required.
Travel is required to Westerville Surgery Center and eventually the Livingston Avenue surgery center.
Must be flexible with days and hours to meet the training needs of the team.
