Nurse Practitioner - Beverly Hills Primary Care (FNP) Job at UCLA Health
The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals. Document services rendered.
The IMPACT Pilot is an innovative new program in ambulatory care at UCLA where a nurse practitioner (NP) will work in a virtual team-based environment with registered nurses (RNs), physicians, and the staff of ambulatory clinics to assist physicians with the management of their CareConnect inbasket, care gap closures, and population health initiatives. The inbasket management will include answering patient messages, phone calls, and interpreting lab results. Some of this management will involve telemedicine visits with the patient where the NP will apply advanced clinical skill and expertise in history taking, treatment and clinical care management of patients. The NP will monitor, train and coach patients on how to live with chronic conditions to ensure health goals are met.
Position will train in-person but will be remote thereafter. Will need to be onsite in initial phase.
Salary range: $80.78-$115.37 Hourly
- CA RN license and CA NP license -required
- MSN in NP Specialty -required
- National Certification in FNP Specialty- required
- State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES - required
- BLS certification from America Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
- Minimum of five years experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an urgent care or emergency room setting -required
- Position will train in-person but will be remote thereafter.
