SUMMARY: We have an opening for a team oriented, part-time Occupancy Specialist. Candidates must be self motivated, detailed and service oriented.
Essential Responsibilities:
The oversight and successful execution of the Occupancy Specialist Department is to ensure compliance with Fair Housing, as well as with Federal and State regulatory Agencies.
- This position ensures that the department conducts interviews and determines eligibility for housing programs.
- Process financial assessments by verifying income, assets, and medical expenses.
- Maintains resident files to MSHDA, HUD, Tax Credit and JSL specifications.
- Responds to audits and maintains financial reports.
Requirements:
- Experience with affordable housing, senior or housing related programs is helpful.
- Familiar with a variety of affordable housing concepts, practices, and procedures needed.
- The ability to work successfully in a fast paced environment with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Enjoy working collaboratively with others in a workshop setting.
- Microsoft computer experience including excel.
- A passing score on a certification examination will be a condition of continued employment in this position.
