Ensures and promotes a safe and healthy environment for program participants and staff. Monitors program participant and staff activities to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and agency standard operating procedures. Acts as first responder to all program participant and staff incidents

Responsibilities:

• Responds to location and directs and/or assists staff with implementation of emergency procedures. Facilitates redeployment of program staff as necessary to assist in the interaction with program participants.
• Contacts emergency medical and/or fire personnel and directs them to location.
• Notifies appropriate agency personnel as required
• Ensures Student Injury Reports and Behavioral Reports are picked up from each residential location and delivered to the appropriate departments
• Inspects overnight Sleep/Awake Charts and Overnight Bed Checks to ensure staff are completing them in accordance with standard operating procedures. Ensures any non-compliance is reported to respective Management Personnel.
• Completes and documents all required health and safety tours and ensures these are distributed in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Serves as liaison with any law enforcement agencies.
• Assists with submission of incident management reports and notifications
• Assists families with visitations with their child.
• Monitors activities in the Family Visiting Centers.
• Monitors program and recreation activities taking place at the Anderson Education Center and Recreation Center. Assists staff with access to these facilities.
• Monitors health services activities in residences to ensure standard operating procedures are being followed.
• Assists with emergency hospital transports to ensure all necessary documentation and staffing has been provided.
• Assists with transportation activities for home visits and when necessary children being discharged from the hospital.
• Conducts daily radio checks with each residence.
• Assists with the delivery of medications to each residence.
• Monitors student/staff ratios in each residence and redeploys staff to ensure ratios are maintained in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Assists with minor physical plant issues to expedite repairs.
• Issues work orders for any issues discovered during regular tours.
• Accesses the Maintenance On-Call system to report facilities issues that require immediate attention. Follows the instructions directed through the Maintenance On-Call System.
• Monitors the vehicle fleet and signs out/in vehicles to residences.
• Monitors weather conditions and summons ACA snow teams and snow removal contractors whenever required.

Requirements:

• Must be eligible to drive agency vehicles
• Must demonstrate sound direct care and leadership abilities

Pay range $16.20 to $18.70 with increases for education
