Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading Fleet Maintenance companies in the U.S., is seeking an Onboarding Specialist. The Onboarding Specialist is responsible for providing candidates and employees with a seamless transition into the company through an exceptional onboarding experience. The Onboarding Specialist will coordinate and communicate with candidates and hiring managers throughout the onboarding process. Maintain internal documents and talent management systems per business process guidelines and assist internal and external candidates with system related questions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Commence onboarding process by sending new hire packet with information regarding background, drug screen and status changes
· Conduct pre-hire procedures to ascertain pre-hire requirements and paperwork, including criminal background checks, references, license verifications, etc. have been received for Non-DOT and DOT candidates
· Point of contact for all candidates in process of background and drug screening
· When a hire is cleared to start, send clearance email and coordinate with management first day
· Review company policies with new employees and ensure compliance with signatures
· Provide overview of benefits and deadline enrollment reminders to new hires
· Management of all items required for new hire day 1 set up including location, system access, security, logistics, pay and benefits, etc.
· Follows onboarding and notification procedures with appropriate departments (i.e. IT & Credentialing) to ensure new employees are set-up with the necessary resources
· Collects I-9 documents from manager, audits and submits E-Verify for new employees within 3 days of hire date
· Partner with applicable teams including IT, Payroll and HR to proactively problem solve for new hire issues
· Responsible for meeting onboarding deadlines
· Coordinate and verify attendance headcount for weekly new hire orientation
· Utilizing VMS, iCIMS, for applicant tracking and onboarding
· Applicant management in HRIS, uploading documents and auditing onboarding details
· Tracking a high volume of data in Excel
Key Competencies and Minimum Education
· Ability to communicate with a wide range of people, behavior styles and multiple Departments
· Knowledge of reviewing Backgrounds, Pre-Adverse and Rescinding Offers
· Ability to keep professional and work with confidential data and personal information
· Proficiency with Human Resources Information Systems & Applicant Tracking System
· Employee Setup with high attention to detail with data entry
· Experienced in all Microsoft Office products
· Exceptional diligence and follow up
· Effective communicator at all levels
· True multi-tasker – flexible to many moving parts
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
