OR Aide / OR Assistant

We are currently accepting applications for an OR Aide (or OR Assistant) on a full-time/part-time/PRN/per diem/as-needed basis in our Surgery Department. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next opportunity.

The Operating Room Aide (OR Aide) performs direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting and assists in maintaining a safe, clean environment.

As an OR Aide, your duties include but are not limited to:

• 
  Follow specific procedures to perform terminal cleaning of the OR and prepare rooms for new patients
• Use industrial cleaning agents and equipment following appropriate safety procedures
• Clean and make stretchers/beds
• Assist in the turnover of all OR rooms between cases
• Stock all assigned areas and deliver specimens/blood to the lab
• Transport patients as directed by nurse

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Heavy lifting may also be required (25lbs-75lbs)

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
