Operations Associate - Handyman Job at Urban Dove Inc
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
Urban Dove seeks a full time or part time Handyman to provide support to the Operations team at our Brooklyn and / or Bronx school campus. This person shall report to the Director of Operations and support the learning environment by keeping our facilities in good working order, including making minor repairs, assembling furniture, installing and mounting signage, and other basic handyman functions. A full time respondent will split days between Brooklyn and the Bronx school.

Responsibilities
- Manage the upkeep of the facilities as needed, including basic equipment, supplies, and building materials
- Regularly inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
- Coordinate access to all utility companies, maintenance vendors and contractors as needed, including oversight of all outside contractors and their scopes of work
- Basic painting, touch ups, spackle, caulking, etc. as needed
- Perform analysis and forecasting of needed upkeep of facility needs.
- Other duties as required
- Minimum 3 years Proven experience in facilities or maintenance
- Well-versed in basic technical operations and facilities management best practices
- Excellent organizational skills and strong multi-tasker who can keep to deadlines and timelines
- Fluency in Spanish a plus
- Excellent references and clean employment history
- Strong work ethic and high degree of professionalism
