Job Overview

The Operations Coordinator is critical to the current and future success of Kennedy Financial Services and Smart Money Group. His/her primary role is to oversee all aspects of the Operations execution and Compliance requirements for the company and deliver on expected goals. In-depth industry, Life Planning, and Wealth Management knowledge is necessary to achieve expected client objectives. To do this, you will need to build, lead and oversee a strong, knowledgeable team that can deliver on the KFS value proposition. It is his/her responsibility to build and deliver a trusting, open and honest relationship with clients, internal departments, and external vendors for success. You will be expected to identify client opportunities as well as train the team to do the same to maximize client opportunities to meet their goals. You will collaborate, plan and deliver on the company’s vision and goals while working as a team member with your peers to ensure all implementation and follow through takes place to move the company forward.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist the team to maintain and implement the company vision and goals by delivering on firm expectations and priorities
  • Deliver on expected operational goals, campaigns, and outlined projects
  • Continually gauge team priorities so that short- and long-term deadlines can stay on track
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled meetings to listen, collaborate, plan and implement initiatives for working ‘On the Business’
  • Establish and maintain an in-depth understanding of Kennedy Financial Services, Smart Money Group, Black & White Money Management™ along with The 8 Life Planning Issues™
  • Have a clear understanding of, and hold the company and its representatives accountable to, all compliance & industry standards
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial industry trends with the ability to convey accurate and timely responses using all communication methods
  • Maintain oversight to ensure all areas of the business are moving forward while staying free of avoidable bottlenecks or other hurdles
  • Maximize learning opportunities such as attending Industry conferences, reviewing publications, participating in video conference seminars and other learning avenues in order to help develop and train team
  • Oversee and report upon multiple areas/departments of our business to ensure workload is proportionally distributed for team success
  • Assist in the completion of any unmet priority items throughout the multiple areas of business
  • Any additional duties as assigned by management

Desired Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelors’ Degree or higher in Business, Finance or Accounting is highly recommended, or equivalent industry experience is required
  • 5+ Years of Financial, Insurance, banking and/or Advanced Planning Experience
  • 3+ Years of Advisory or Custodial Experience Preferred
  • Series 7 and 66 Licensed (or equivalent) or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple caseloads across a multi-member team
  • 3+ Years of Task and or Team Management experience is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage in a 1:1 setting or group setting
  • Highly self-motivated and ability to prioritize self, others, and team as whole
  • Willing to work with a team-based approach and collaborate with internal leaders and external vendors
  • A flexible, helpful, can-do attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and Financial Planning Software
