In this role, you have the opportunity to
Successfully lead the Operations team at the Mercury Systems Alpharetta facility, to include production, repairs, manufacturing engineering, quality, and warehouse departments. Translate customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products. Develop operations-related plans, budgets, policies, and procedures, while delivering the revenue plan for the site.

Translate customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products. Develop operations-related plans, budgets, policies, and procedures, while delivering the revenue plan for the site.
You are responsible for
- Meeting/exceeding safety, production, quality, inventory, and cost objectives
- Prioritizing production schedules based on new product introduction, equipment efficiency, materials supply, personnel, and capacity planning
- Driving the development and implementation of operating methods and procedures to eliminate bottlenecks, problems, improve product quality and efficiency
- Managing COGS through cost control, material usage efficiency, labor utilization, and quality performance
- Implementing daily, weekly, and monthly KPI’s for manufacturing, production, and operations; utilizing standard and customized metrics and analysis to demonstrate efficiency, productivity, and profitability
- Leading operations team with daily 6S, Six sigma, and Lean Manufacturing best practice culture
- Recruiting, developing, and maintaining a high quality, high performing team
- Collaborating with executive-level leadership in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
- Maintaining AS9100 processes, key metrics, IPC certifications, safety and regulatory compliance relating to the production facility
- Implementation and maintenance of an inventory management monthly review process
- Execution and accuracy of daily cycle count and/or year-end inventory
- Representing operations as the primary interface for internal/external customers
- Understanding, following, and enforcing all internal documented policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills / Strong people management skills
- Previous experience in an aerospace, defense, or technology company is preferred
- A minimum of 10 years experience in a manufacturing operations leadership role within a factory environment
- Ability to influence at all levels of an organization. Demonstrated success influencing cultural change
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of all TPS/Lean and Six Sigma tools
- Excellent organizational, leadership, motivational, analytical problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- A successful track record of being able to establish and achieve performance goals and objectives for quality, cost control, manufacturing efficiency and process optimization. Previous experience in leading OpEx initiatives
