The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.
Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing refinery operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzes specifications and controls continuous operation of petroleum refining and processing units to produce products, such as gasoline, kerosene, and fuel and lubricating oils.
- Reads processing schedules, operating logs, test results of oil samples, and laboratory recommendations to determine changes in equipment controls required to produce specified quantity and quality of product.
- Moves and sets controls, such as knobs, valves, switches, levers, and index arms, on control panels to control process variables.
- May control activities of several processing units operated in conjunction.
- May be designated according to process involved or plant operated as Absorption Plant Operator; Purification Operator; Refinery Operator, Cracking Unit; Refinery Operator, Polymerization Plant; Refinery Operator, Reforming Unit; Refinery Operator, Visbreaking.
Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
1 year of related experience
Pariticpation in ERT (Emergency Response Team), required
Organizational Leveling:
Requires skills developed through formal training or work experience. Works within established procedures and guidelines with limited ability to modify approach. Completes assigned tasks with a moderate degree of supervision.
