The Po sition
Reports directly to the Plant Manager and is charged with developing and maintaining a system to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels. Develops strategies to satisfy external and internal customers by reducing defects and errors and improving worker knowledge, skills and abilities. Designs and installs quality control process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques. Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Analyzes production limitations and standards. Recommends revision of specifications when indicated. Formulates or assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures. Develops the economics of any quality control program when required. Provides leadership for quality-assurance support on assigned program(s) and/or areas to ensure that the product is built in accordance with customer and division quality requirements. Provides leadership for new systems development, implementation, procedures, and any related quality activity. Implements and measures execution of strategy through detailed planning and objective metrics. Develops and maintains RAMS analyses for major project products.
Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of work experience in quality assurance and manufacturing.
• Experience developing RAMS analysis, using techniques such as: RBDC Reliability Black Diagrams, FMEA, FTA, FRACAS, etcs.
• Ability to make decisions requires a high degree of judgment significantly affecting multiple areas of the company. Direct impact on future development of the company and has broad administrative and strategic policy development.
• Ability to work as a team member and participant in projects that involve or impact the overall direction of the company.
• Business and production orientation and emphasis on results, diplomacy, multitasking and priority setting.
• Experience in Oracle system is desireable.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Production Management, Quality Assurance or manufacturing related areas.
• Must have a complete understanding of quality assurance techniques and the ability to implement processes
• Minimum of five (5) years’ of experience in quality assurance management.
• ISO9001 auditor certification is a plus.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to use personal computer, ten key calculator, copy machine, fax, telephone, and printers.
• MS Office, Visio, MS Project, and ability to read shop drawings and product specifications.
• Ability to use calipers, height gauges and CMM.
• Ability to work long hours.
• Ability to walk, stand and sit for long periods of time.
• Highly focused, intense visual requirements, ability to read and write.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to travel anywhere by any means including International travel.
