Overview:
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include identification of signs and symptoms that signal appropriateness for OT examination and also the actual examination, evaluation, planning, organizing, and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients. Implement therapy according to established plan, utilizing appropriate procedures, equipment and techniques within the scope of occupational therapy. Educate the patient and/or the caregiver about the findings of the examination, evaluation, established goals of the occupational therapy program, plan of treatment, home programs, injury prevention, and other related information. Communicates effectively with other patient care team members and coordinates care provided. Assist in directing OT Assistants with their caseloads and their documentation. Work in an environment that requires seven-day-a-week coverage.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS MINIMUM REQUIRED: State of California Occupational Therapy license or eligible for licensure. Current BLS certification.
