Outpatient Therapy Clinic Coordinator Job at BrightStar Care

The Clinic Coordinator is responsible for the overall function of the

front desk and medical record department area. Duties will include answering

phones, taking messages, greeting visitors and patients. He/she ensures the

smooth operation of this area to include scheduling, authorization submissions,

insurance verifications, receptionist duties, registration, tracking, daily

statistics, and overseeing the arrival, waiting, and departure of the children

attending sessions.

Essential Functions:

1. Schedule all evaluations and re-evaluations for all therapists utilizing company guidelines for available evaluation slots.

2. Maintain the folders of children waiting to be scheduled for evaluation. Check them for proper documents and follow policy for disposition.

3. Following the evaluation, schedule patients for on-going treatment when insurance approval is received. Enter duration of treatment approved onto the appropriate log.

4. Maintain the daily schedules of all therapists. Make changes as requested.

5. Re-schedule missed appointments.

6.Call to verify all appointments as requested.

Qualifications:

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

2. Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office required: Word, Excel, Access preferred.

3. One year in a medical office experience required.
