Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Organizes and coordinates all aspects of the Indiana University Bloomington campus United Way campaign, and serves as a liaison between United Way and IU.
- Develops and communicates frequently and effectively with a strong core group of IU employees serving as campaign volunteers. Closely involved in all elements of campaign fundraising, promotion, and outreach.
- Recruits, organizes, and assists campaign volunteers from departments across campus and oversees training, email communications, and biweekly meetings.
- Oversees fundraising efforts for the Bloomington campus campaign, including but not limited to, mass email reminders, direct donor solicitation, tracking and reporting campaign progress, and managing campaign data.
- Plans campaign-related events, including but not limited to, the campaign kick-off and appreciation luncheon.
- Creates campaign related materials, including but not limited to, digital materials, website pages, instructional guides, outreach templates, and volunteer gifts.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- Currently enrolled as a graduate student at Indiana University
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
- Experience in fundraising, resource development, nonprofit management, or another relevant field strongly preferred
- Experience in communications, graphic design, website design, or other related skills preferred but not required
- Ability to commit to 2 academic years or more in this position
SKILLS
Required
- Demonstrates excellent organizational skills
- Ability to manage several projects at once, with close attention to detail and the ability to set and meet deadlines
- Excellent communications and writing skills
- Ability to interact professionally with IU administrators, faculty, staff, students, and community agency staff

Advertised Salary
$18 per hour
Work Hours
10-20 hours per week (25 maximum allowed)
More hours will be required during the fall semester-early spring semester.
Negotiable, May-June, 2023
