Part-time Support Staff Job at Terrapin House Support Brokers
Direct Support Staff needed Avondale area Part-time: Assist a young woman to attain her goals of independent living and participating in her preferred activities.
This position offers flexible part-time hours, approximately 5 hours a day, 2 or 3 days a week, flexible schedule. We are searching for the right person to help this young woman achieve her goals of independence, making friends, and being a vibrant part of her community.
This is a 1:1 position with a young woman who wants to get out in the community to exercise, go shopping, and make friends, and needs some help with learning independent living skills. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience with Mental Health Support or an MH peer mentor.
Our Ideal Candidate Would:
. Enjoy teaching independent living skills and ADL skills.
· Be creative, kind, and encouraging and fun
· Be reliable and consistent
· Have some experience with an MH diagnoses
· Think outside the box and do some creative problem-solving.
You must, at a MINIMUM, have:
· A High School Diploma or a GED.
· 1-year of Support Staff experience
· A valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation AND
· A willingness to go through background checks and obtain your clearances.
Pay starts at $25 an hour
