Pathologists' Assistant/Autopsy Technician Job at Illume Autopsy and Pathology Services
Work with a team of autopsy and tissue procurement specialists
· Work independently based on your skill level and assist in photography, documentation, autopsy prosection, dissection, grossing and sectioning for microscopy
· Build skills and experience with guided study and on the job training with select cases
· Join a supportive team comprised of Pathologists’ Assistants, experienced technicians and Pathologists specializing in autopsy pathology, from around the country
· Flexible hours with acceptance of case assignments and flexible scheduling (must work within hours of facility availability - evenings and weekends may be available for select cases)
Work based from home
· Local, regional and travel cases available

Pay: $400.00 - $1,200.00 per day

COVID-19 considerations:
We are working remotely and social distancing. We are taking extra precautions with cases, including additional PPE and post procedural sanitization to minimize any risk of exposure to our staff, vendors or clients.
Application Question(s):
- Are you available to work in the San Francisco bay area at least 2 part-time days per week (1 partial week day, morning or afternoon Mon-Fri required and another week day or weekend partial day required)?
- Do you have at least basic knowledge of human anatomy, are comfortable with sights and smells of blood, decaying human remains and autopsy related science? If you do not have adequate formal education in autopsy technician work, do you possess strong self motivation to study on your own time and are willing to learn with pathologists direction, over several months to get your skills up to speed for the job?

- Clinical laboratory: 1 year (Preferred)
