Position Description: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for audit and reporting related to our critical corporate functions involving payroll and financial reporting. In this role, the Payroll Specialist will be called on to ensure accuracy of payroll processing, review and reconcile vairious reports and accounts, coordinate transactions between payroll and corporate billing, comply with regulatory statutes and filings, and produce timely and accurate financial statements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review payroll reporting to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions
  • Ensure payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates have been implemented correctly
  • Coordinate pass-thru salary billback to clients
  • Comply with federal, state, and local agency reporting requirements
  • Engage with external payroll provider and HR payroll admin to address and resolve processing errors. Assist with calculation of one-time payouts and benefit disbursements
  • Report payroll irregularities to executive leadership team
  • Prepare payroll analysis and forecast upon request

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience with concentration in financial reporting
  • Payroll understanding and experience (specifically Paylocity would be a plus)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under deadlines
  • Ability to manage time effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
