Wellesley Pediatric OT is a private, therapist run, outpatient clinic that is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and passionate occupational therapist to join our growing team. Our themed treatment rooms with a large variety of equipment, knowledgeable and friendly staff, strong mentorship opportunities, and ability to collaborate with the talented speech therapists of Wellesley Pediatric Speech Therapy make this an ideal position for therapists looking to make a difference and strong impact on the clients and families they work with.
Responsibilities Include :
- Conducting comprehensive OT evaluations using both clinical observation skills and various standardized assessments.
- Providing high quality individualized treatment sessions to clients of various ages and diagnoses. While most treatment sessions are conducted in person at our clinic, therapist will also be responsible for performing occasional sessions via telehealth when deemed appropriate.
- Communicating with families and caregivers about services provided as well as providing carryover activities to ensure the highest level of progress is achieved.
- Collaborating with other professionals as needed.
- Completing timely and efficient documentation, including evaluation reports, daily notes, progress notes, and letters of medical necessity.
Requirements :
- A valid MA OT license and NBCOT certification
- A minimum of 1 year working as an OTR in a pediatric setting.
- Previous experience working with children with sensory processing challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be team oriented
