Performance Manager Job at Oklahoma City University
Position Summary:
Maintain the ensemble library, order and distribute music, maintain school of music instruments and equipment inventory, coordinate logistics for school of music ensembles, oversee production of all school of music printed programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate an attitude and behavior that reflects the values and mission of the department and University
- Responsible for all aspects of the Ensemble Library including but not limited to purchase; rents, royalties and licenses; preparation, distribution and filing of all music for School of Music ensembles and Opera/Music Theater Productions.
- Responsible for maintaining the School of Music instrument and equipment inventory. This includes, but is not limited to, arranging purchases, instrument maintenance, and inventory control.
- Serve as Logistics Manager for All Ensembles. This includes overseeing set-ups for all on and off campus rehearsals and performances, chair placement auditions, and tours. Assist with logistics for rentals and partner organizations as needed.
- Oversee the production of all School of Music printed programs for concerts, recitals, productions and guest artists.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with a diverse population of internal and external constituents.
- Superior computer skills with specific knowledge and experience with MS word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and FileMaker Pro. Must be comfortable with technology and flexible in regard to learning new technology unique to the university.
- Superior organizational, oral and written communication skills and the ability to work productively under pressure in a fast paced, intense environment.
- Ability to independently manage a broad variety of tasks and shifting priorities in a changing environment and to give careful attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated while still being able to accept supervision and work well in a team environment.
- Must be able to work effectively in a customer-service oriented team environment.
Required Experience
- A bachelor's degree in music is required.
- Two (2) years office support, performance coordination, or library experience.
