Description: The Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician 1 accurately fills and counts medications. The Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician 1 performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.

This position is for Enclara Pharmacia, a Humana company. Enclara, is a wholly owned hospice and palliative care pharmacy business acquired by Humana in 2021. Enclara is the nation’s largest full-service pharmacy benefits manager (PBM) specifically for the hospice and palliative care sectors. Serving nearly 140,000 patients nationally, Enclara works closely with hospices to reduce pharmacy costs, improve patient care and support caregivers through: digital innovations, flexible medication access, one-on-one clinical support, and excellent customer service.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 11:30AM to 8:00PM EST

Location: Onsite New Hyde Park, NY

The Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician 1 ensures inventory levels are adequate for dispensing by working with inventory supply team. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities, and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.

Responsibilities:

• Filling and dispensing 200-400 prescriptions daily
• Handling any shipments of drugs or materials that may come in on the weekend from UPS/FEDEX/Cardinal/Amerisource
• Assisting with Phone coverage for pharmacist
• Inputting prescription information into excel

Required Qualifications:

• At least 6 months experience of technical experience in a retail, clinical or mail order pharmacy.
• Must have experience in data entry with Excel
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Certification, PTCB CphT

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay at the time of posting in New Hyde Park, New York. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$38,200 – $52,600

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
