Summary: The Plant Manager is responsible for direct production, distribution, and operations for the facility. Candidate shall lead, guide, and direct workforce positively and per Company policies and procedures. The Plant Manager is accountable on training all subordinate employee(s) and lead employees in the proper direction. Responsible for communicating with management and employees on status of all products, written and/or verbal notifications received from the HR/Safety Department and the General Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production, distribution, and storage, in accordance with Company policies, principles, and procedures established by the General Manager.
- Confer with employee, supervisors, customers, and those representatives of associated industries to evaluate, promote, improve, and expand services in and all areas.
- Continually develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
- Review production costs and product quality.
- Modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of division.
- Review the operations of plant and/or competing organizations and assist with the General Manager with plans to develop new markets and/or products.
- Recommend any and all changes to the General Manager.
- Keep all plant and storage areas clean and organized to include equipment such as air hoses, tools, and etc.
- Monitor storage and handling of products for damage. Perform daily spot-checks for quality controls and evaluate all materials to quality standards.
- Meet, discuss, coordinate, confer and operate as a team with the Production Certification Manager to efficiently provide quality products in a safe manner.
- Plans and directs production activities to eliminate overtime.
- Efficiently manage the workforce to provide a quality product with minimal waste of time and material.
- Continually evaluate employees based on performance and knowledge.
- Responsible for settling grievances between employees and refers unresolved grievances to management.
- Properly secure the plant at the end of the day shift and turn-off appropriate items.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager deemed appropriate.
Plant Manager shall be able to perform the following duties in the most efficient and effective manner possible to provide the best product for the customer according to our Stay-Right standards.
Abilities:
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Have the ability to re-instruct all employees on the proper methods and/or procedures required should a problem arise.
- Have the ability to train the employees as well as oversee all repairs required to produce a quality-standard product.
- Make time for random inspections of any/all products.
- One safety audit and one housekeeping audit a month
- Physically able to be standing for 8 hours a day.
- Physically be able to adhere to those that must be met by an employee to satisfactorily perform all the essential functions of this job.
Qualification Requirements:

- Education and/or experience: Minimum high school diploma and/or equivalent; knowledge of construction or precast industry preferred.
Work Environment:
