JOB SUMMARY
Hands-on leadership position based in Comstock Park, MI but expected to travel throughout the U.S. on a regular basis. Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain plumbing equipment including commercial tankless water heating systems throughout the United States. Lead a team of apprentices and subcontractors directing workflow, demonstrating proper plumbing procedures, and maintaining a professional work environment. Ensure satisfactory job completion and submit all required reports.
Primary Role & Responsibilities
- Travel to job sites throughout the United States via air or ground travel.
- Direct, hands-on leadership of plumbing installation crews including subcontractors and apprentices.
- Collaborate with on-site customer management to execute proper and efficient installation with minimal business interruption.
- Install commercial water heating equipment systems according to specifications, building codes, and state/local regulations.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues in a proactive manner.
- Educate customers on proper operation and maintenance of the equipment.
- Electronically document work performed in all applicable production apps.
- Follow all safety policies and technical guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber or equivalent skill set
- Minimum 8 years direct experience in the commercial plumbing (installation) field. Tankless water heating installation experience is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Home base near Grand Rapids, Michigan
- Travel up to 75% and work off-shift hours.
- Familiar with domestic air travel
- Good driving record. Willing to obtain/maintain DOT Med card and safely maneuver a pickup truck and 25-foot trailer combination.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with customers, subcontractors, colleagues, and subordinates
- Impeccable work ethic
- Strong computer/tech skills including basic Excel spreadsheets, photography, email, and text messaging.
- Very familiar with the use of laptops and smartphones
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
- Must pass pre-employment screenings including background check and drug test.
