Position Title: Pool Technician

Department: Facilities Maintenance

Accountable to: Facilities Maintenance Manger

Primary Objective of Position:

To maintain Port Royal’s swimming pool and hot tubs in accordance with Port Royal’s standards, by performing preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary

Major Areas of Accountability

1. Meets and exceeds guest and team member expectations by providing positive and courteous service and teamwork

· Provides value added service to guests by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed guest expectations

· Communicates effectively with guests, supervisors and co-workers

· Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers as needed

· Handles difficult situations effectively

· Meets service standards

· Performs other duties as required to provide positive and courteous service and teamwork

2. Responds to both guest and Port Royal staff reports of problems in the pool and hot tub and surrounding areas

· Maintains daily chemical and service log for the swimming pool and hot tubs

3. Maintains pool and hot tubs in optimal operating conditions by performing repairs as needed

· understands the Pool Preventative Maintenance Program

· Maintains the overall appearance of the swimming pool, hot tubs and pool area

· Uses both power and hand tools regularly in a safe, efficient manner

· Repairs pumps, motors, filters, etc.

· Replaces pumps, motors, filters as needed

· Executes general plumbing as needed

· Re-straps and repairs pool furniture as needed

· Maintains swimming pool and hot tubs chemical balance

· Adds all chemicals as necessary for chemical balance

4. Performs preventative maintenance throughout other areas of Port Royal as well, including the foundation and pump houses

5. Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routing equipment checks and repairs

6. Demonstrates familiarity with Port Royal’s life safety systems and takes corrective action on any maintenance or operating problems which may affect the security or operating condition of Port Royal

7. Reports any hazards or injuries in the department or at Port Royal and takes immediate action to correct

8. Maintains and assists in the cleanliness of individual work area

9. Adheres to Port Royal policies and procedures.

· Attends work on time as scheduled.

· Follows Port Royal’s grooming and dress standards.

· Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety rules and procedures.

10. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.

11. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.

12. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate

13. At all times projects a favorable image of Port Royal Homeowner Association to the public

Pay: $13.50 per hour
