Full Time – "Year Round" Floater/Assistant-Teacher Position (225 working days) working with young children.

Candidate should have a vibrant and outgoing personality and be comfortable working with other strong personalities. Position involves working collaboratively with the director of the program to create an educational experience for students that emphasizes independence. Our staff is a professional and dynamic one. The candidate floats between our 3-6-year-old physical education program as needed and the All Year Montessori classroom. Their home base would be the AYM class, where they would assist a trained Montessori teacher and children between the ages of 3 and 6. Hours rotate every two weeks (7:30-3:30, 8:30-4:30, 9:30-5:30). Job is a support role with many opportunities to learn, grow and make meaningful contributions.

All teachers at Countryside Day School are credentialed AMI teachers. The school serves students 2 - 14 years. The school is located in a pleasant Chicago suburb on 4 acres. Enrollment is 170 students. Countryside Day School is a non-profit, independent school founded in 1967, ISACS accredited for 15+ years. The average tenure of teachers at CDS is fifteen years.
