PRINCIPAL CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER (Network Security Expert)
The role of Principal Cybersecurity Engineer is to implement & manage leading security solutions to protect Fidelity Network, Systems & Data. This role is within the Enterprise Cybersecurity’s Perimeter Security Squad that is part of External Defense Product Area. This role offers significant exposure to Enterprise Network & Systems Architecture (both on-prem & cloud), opportunities to evaluate, implement & manage best-in-class Network & Application security tools and technologies. The role provides great exposure towards developing deep expertise into engineering and managing industry-leading Cybersecurity practices.
The Expertise You Have
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technology discipline
- 10+ years of in a distributed IT Engineering function
- 7+ years of experience with designing, implementing, & supporting Web security solutions
- Expertise in Content Delivery Networks, Web Application Firewall, and Cloud Security
- Deep understanding of Internet technologies, DNS internals, OSI layer, TCP/IP networks (protocols, ports etc.)
- Expertise in observability, resiliency, Automation and Cloud Technologies
- A cyber security and/or cloud certification such as CISSP, AWS, Azure is an added advantage
The Skills You Bring
- Deep understanding of OSI layer, TCP/IP networks (protocols, ports, etc.,) is required.
- Solid understanding of DNS and how it works (internals) is required.
- Experience with engineering logging & monitoring solutions with tools like Splunk is highly desired.
- Understanding of cloud solutions and cloud networking (AWS / Azure) is highly desired.
- Ability to quickly script test cases is desired.
- Elastic (ELK) configuration in the AWS cloud is desired.
- Knowledge of engineering documentation of complex technologies and topologies based on security-based practices is highly desired.
- Programming experience with Python, lambda etc. is desired.
- Experience with Agile methodology is desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills is required.
The Team
Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS) sets Fidelity’s strategy, policy, and standards for the security of the enterprise cyberspace. We focus on threat reduction, vulnerability elimination, deterrence, international engagement, incident response, resiliency, and recovery policies and activities. This role is within the Software Engineering Chapter Area that supports ECS Product Areas & Squads in implementing & managing best-in-class Cybersecurity solutions to protect Fidelity Systems & Data.
