Process Engineer - Atlanta Area Job at OFS FITEL LLC
JOB PURPOSE:
Process Engineer in our VAD Glass Manufacturing organization to ensure safe, quality-oriented and efficient operations. Provide engineering support to control and improve multiple production processes.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Manufacturing or industrial experience of least 0-5 years
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)
· BS degree in Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical, and Electrical engineering disciplines
· Manufacturing experience preferred
- Knowledge of applied statistical practices & data analysis
- Some programming knowledge is desirable (e.g. Java, C+, Python)
- Some experience with Solidworks software modeling and detailing
- Some Mechatronics knowledge and experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible to control and improve VAD manufacturing processes using sound scientific principles and analysis
· Support operations to meet daily production requirements and drive continuous improvement with effective hands-on problem solving ability
· Support troubleshooting of existing equipment problems and implement design solutions
· Plan and implement projects to maintain and improve processes, equipment and facility operations
· Provide timely, collaborative support within the operations, maintenance, engineering organizations to meet production requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
· Proven creative/innovative mindset and effective hands-on problem solving ability
- Highly adaptable to a broad set of technical areas
- Strong communication and presentation skills with proven ability to work with a diverse team of technical and non-technical staff
- Excellent documentation (SOP’s, maintenance instructions) skills and detailed oriented.
