The Procurment Manager role is responsible for fostering and maintaining strong and ethical relationships with suppliers. The role includes the development and implementation of a solid procurement strategy, initially focused on the practice level to help control and reduce costs on dental and office supplies. The role should maintain strong records on negotiations and have a database of relevant and accurate information to enable reporting. Role has ownership of the practice level procurement software and will work with operations and AP accordingly to help automate workflows related to ordering. The role does include training of support team on platform, auditing of billing and effective reporting.
Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong, ethical relationships with suppliers
  • Develop and implement a strong procurement strategy for practices
  • Reduce costs on dental and office supplies
  • Maintain detailed records on negotiations
  • Maintain a database of relevant and accurate information to enable reporting
  • Act as the practice level procurement software owner
  • Work with other departments to automate workflows related to ordering
  • Provide training on platform, auditing, billing, and reporting
  • Contribute to the team in achieving business objectives to accomplish goals.
Qualifications:
  • Dental or other relevant experience required
  • Effective negotiating skills
  • Ability to analyze spend, project savings and effectively report progress
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
