The Produce Department Manager position is an essential part of our Produce team! They provide customers with quality fresh fruits and vegetables in a friendly and courteous manner, ensuring repeat visits to our stores.

Essential Duties
The produce manager plays an important role in the ongoing functions of the produce department. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include:

• Asks customers if they need assistance and suggests additional sales in the produce department
• Accurately packages, prices, and stocks products within the department
• Monitors products being stocked to ensure they meet or exceed customer expectations
• Places orders for product and researches market pricing
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of products, ingredients, and services provided by the department
• Cuts and packages fruits and vegetables for prepared foods service
• Ensures State and County safety and sanitation standards are met with all equipment, surfaces, and floors within the department and the proper methods are used when handling food
• Manages produce staff and provides training, scheduling, yearly assessments, and accountability
