$17.55 - $21.14 with knife skills for trimming or boning, or food-processing saw skills.

Package food products and operate the most basic of functions on a few different meat processing machines. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area. Contribute a positive attitude to the team.

  • Perform basic meat packaging, sorting, and operation of a basic processing machines.
  • Assemble, and replenish product specific boxes and bags.
  • Push button to tum-on assigned machines, verify they are running properly, and fill machine with meat products.
  • Trim and clean meat products and fit neatly into pre-made packaging trays.
  • Insert soaker pads on trays and grab trays exiting the machine and place in labeler.
  • Monitor products and packaging to ensure acceptable appearance, seal, quantities are placed in correct boxes
  • Safely move products and by-product containers to assigned locations.
  • Follow quality procedures and consistently achieve quality standards. Ask questions when necessary.
  • Achieve acceptable production quantities.
  • Properly care for tools and equipment used, cleaning or wiping down throughout the shift.
  • Follow all safety requirements.
  • Learn other operations if desire promotions, including products, codes, packaging, and product specifications.
  • Promptly communicate production issues.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and cooperation that contributes to a productive team.
  • Must have good attendance to maintain good employment and receive any promotions.
Requirements:

  • Excellent hand and eye coordination, dexterity, and attention to detail with some high-volume manufacturing experience ideal.
  • Basic counting ability.
  • Understands and follow verbal instructions accurately.
  • If desire promotion, ability to learn how to use a knife and all basic machines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and follow basic food safety procedures and programs.
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers. Bilingual with English preferred.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Must be able to work in a humid refrigerated environment, on and around machinery and chemicals and wear personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, grasp, crouch, turn, bend, and reach. 18+ years old with ability to work in the U.S without visa sponsorship.
  • Willingness and general ability to work in other production areas as needed.
  • Able to work Monday to Friday, 8-10 hours daily with overtime as required; some Saturdays. Shift end times may vary based on production needs.
