The primary result expected from the Production Manager will be to plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications by supervising and coordinating the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant and system operators.

What you can expect:

• Direct and coordinate production, processing, distribution, and marketing activities of industrial organizations.
• Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect and resolve production or processing problems.
• Hire, train, evaluate, discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances.
• Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
• Coordinate and recommend facility and equipment maintenance or modification procedures, including machine replacement.
• Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.
• Institute associate suggestion or involvement programs.

• Communicate with Supervisors, peers, or subordinates: provide information to supervisors and co-workers in written form or in person.
• Maintain a good record of attendance and punctuality.
• Learn all manual tasks performed within the department.
• Perform tasks assigned using specific operating procedures, and following department-specific quality control processes and procedures.

• Adhere to Rust-Oleum Corporation Quality principles and participate in all departmental and company-wide Quality activities.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements:

• Authorization to work in the United States
• Bachelor's Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
• 3-5 Years of Management Experience in Manufacturing
• 3-5 Years of SAP Experience
• Advanced Computer Skills
• Mechanical Engineering Experience

Special Consideration will be given to those with experience in:

• Six Sigma
• 5 S
• Lean
• Kaizen
• Manufacturing of bottling and packaging

Job Type: Full-time
Wages: From $92,925-$130,000
This position is bonus eligible.
