CertainTeed is seeking Production Operators for our asphalt shingle manufacturing facility in Shakopee, MN. The primary function of the Production Operators is to safely operate the production machines and to support a zero-defect quality system. This is a 12 hour shift position working 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 days of nights, 4 days off, repeat.

Pay and Benefits:

• Pay starts at $23.03/ hour, but potential to make in the $30.00/hour range

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED;
• Reliable attendance;
• Ability to follow safety protocols and plant rules;
• Availability to work 12 hour shifts, include days, nights and weekends

Work Environment:

• 100% Manufacturing Environment: Areas of the manufacturing plant are not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas >80 decibles are present inside plant areas; manufacturing processes involve granules, silica sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene; moving equipment such as fork lifts, genie-booms, trucks and industrial sweepers travel throughout the property and high temperature hazards exist such as: asphalt coating, thermal oil and steam.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent bending, stooping, pulling;
• Ability to lift up to 80;
• May require extended periods of standing;
• Ability to work in various temperature extremes
