The Solmax Americas business services the North and South American markets through manufacturing locations in Quebec, Georgia, Texas, South Dakota, and South Carolina.

Position Overview:

The primary purpose of the position is to own supply planning across the North American network through coordination of the sales, customer service, and operations teams. This role includes production scheduling, inventory management, and demand and supply alignment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide overall direction to the Supply and Production Planning process.
  • Manage supply plan and daily production schedule across US and Canada manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure material availability to support production plan.
  • Coordinate and ensure delivery is ready to be completed as scheduled.
  • Communicate with other departments (e.g., logistics, procurement) on priorities.
  • Lead S&OE process
  • Lead weekly process and meeting to coordinate functions across the value chain.
  • Manage capacity and planning model to support S&OE process.
  • Identify solutions of supply gaps and coordinate execution with plant managers and operational leads
  • Ensure process discipline and policy adherence across functional groups.
  • Establish metrics and monitor the effectiveness and performance of the Supply & Production Planning process.
  • Enforce compliance with existing processes and policies by instituting appropriate systems, incentives, consequences.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase process effectiveness and identify large-scale business opportunities and improvement initiative that maximize profitability.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Operations Management, or Finance.
  • 5+ years of experience with supply chain planning and operations.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to pay attention to detail and be multi-task oriented.
  • Strong people management, development, and coaching experience.
  • Proven ability to “manage-by-influence” cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate change management and resolve conflict with colleagues and key stakeholders throughout Solmax.
  • Ability to drive effective business conversations with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.

Specialized knowledge, skills, and others

Required Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of plan, buy, make, and deliver processes.
  • Demonstrates success at leading cross-functional project teams, ability to drive change in an organization, required to lead and influence across multiple levels within an organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with ERP & Planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)

Preferred Skills:

  • Industrial manufacturing industry knowledge and experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
