Strek-O Doors is growing! We are seeking an experienced production supervisor for our expanding commercial wood door manufacturing facility in Abbotsford, WI. This is a first shift position with excellent opportunities for continued growth.

Job Summary:

Effectively lead the day-to-day manufacturing activities required to meet production schedules, while maintaining quality standards and ensuring a safe work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Supervise and direct the manufacturing work force.

· Coordinate manufacturing operations and activities to achieve company goals.

· Effectively communicate with all employees to ensure that production schedules are achieved.

· Promote a collaborative work environment that welcomes input, ideas, and feedback from all employees.

· Proactively support continuous improvement objectives and initiatives.

· Continuously seek opportunities to identify and implement changes to improve quality and reduce cost.

· Provide leadership and training to employees to ensure standard operating procedures are followed and quality standards are maintained.

· Develop and maintain a cross-training program to create a flexible work force and to ensure proper coverage at all machine centers.

· Participate in the hiring and development of new employees

· Promote a safe work environment and ensure that all safe work practices are enforced.

· Provide safety training

· Work closely with Customer Service to understand customer needs.

· Order supplies and raw materials

· Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills Needed:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to effectively coach, counsel, motivate, evaluate, and discipline employees.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

· Must possess excellent problem solving skills, with the ability to lead problem solving teams.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office products and ability to learn new systems.

· Knowledge of production processes, quality control practices, cost management, and other techniques for maximizing production efficiency.

· Three or more years of supervisory experience

· Associate, or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,413.58 - $81,815.63 per year
