Starrett Tru-Stone Technologies is currently seeking an PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR FOR OUR 2ND SHIFT. We are looking for detail oriented, quality minded candidates to join our team.

We offer a $3000.00 sign-on bonus for this position. PLUS an additional $1000.00 for 2nd shift.

Our skilled technicians build products using granite and other mediums to be used in precision metrology, semi-conductor and other industries in our state-of-the-art, climate controlled facility located in Waite Park, Minnesota. We are in close proximity to St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Clearwater and other central Minnesota cities/towns.

2nd shift hours are 1:30 pm to 11:30 pm Monday – Thursday and comes with a 15% shift differential. Must be able to train on 1st shift. Differential starts upon hire.

What will you do in this position?

Monitor and coordinate the activities of 2nd shift personnel in multiple departments, ensuring employees are performing their required tasks in a productive and safe manner. Communicate with Plant Manager and Unit Managers daily. Assist employees with issues as they arise.

How do you do it?

• Work closely with Unit Managers and Plant Manager to understand daily production needs and priorities in each department along with the associated work center staffing needs.
• Provide guidance and direction to 2nd shift personnel.
• Have basic knowledge of the processes being performed on 2nd shift.
• Understand blueprints, work orders or instructions to determine product specifications, requirements and operational sequences.
• Responsible for making decisions and solving problems; ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to solve problems.
• Monitor and assess the performance of 2nd shift personnel to make improvements or take corrective action.
• Teach and train others how to perform tasks in a safe and effective manner.
• Observe operations to detect any problems; make necessary adjustments to correct problems.
• In addition to Supervisory role, will perform operations where and when needed using manual and automated equipment to maintain production requirements of the area.
• Support Shipping & Receiving department with off hour shipments / receipts.
• Operate forklift to move material between work centers.

What experience/education do you need?

• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Machining experience preferred, but not required.
