Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The purpose of the CNC Supervisor position will be to ensure that the CNC department is operating safely and meeting or exceeding productivity standards.
Essential job duties of the CNC Supervisor will be but are not limited to the following.
- Maintain a strong safety culture and a safe work environment.
- Plan and direct daily work activities to dynamically manage production resources to obtain daily production goals.
- Develop and implement process improvements.
- Develop cross training plans to improve production performance and increase manufacturing flexibility.
- Improve employee performance through formal and informal performance reviews, and job training.
- Maintain Production records.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- High School Diploma with 5 years in a leadership role or bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Solid computer skills including MS Office Suite.
- Strong machining experience, including both CNC and manual machines.
- Ability to teach machining skills and proven ability to drive process improvement.
- Strong leadership skills: including being disciplined, assertive and having a high energy level to meet safety and production performance goals.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Ability to Solve problems in a variety of situations.
- Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with employees, vendors and customers, etc.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone and in person.
- Standing and lifting.
