Production Supervisor Summary
Mullican Flooring has an immediate opening for a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor at our Johnson City, TN facility. This position is a full time position helping with all aspects of our hardwood flooring production. A qualified candidate will have previous experience with manufacturing, supervision and leadership in a production environment.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Maintains operation of assigned area within budget, meeting production schedules and quality standards
- Seeks ways to improve operations, cost effectiveness and product quality to meet, or exceed, customer satisfaction
- Understands and generates plans for manning and associated budgets.
- Ensures safety procedures are adhered to and hazards eliminated
- Supervises and coaches assigned employees
- Communicates the production schedule
- Enables assigned team members to meet responsibilities for continuous quality and production improvements, preventive maintenance, customer service, safety, housekeeping, controllable cost planning, methods and equipment utilization
- Communicates daily to upper management
- Maintains inventory records within work area
- Any other responsibilities the manager may assign
Production Supervisor Experience:
- BS in Business Admin, Management or related field preferred
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience with a demonstrated work history of accomplishments and increasing responsibility
- Must be teamwork oriented & have excellent leadership skills
