Production Team Member-Extrusion Operator Fernley - Days 7am-7pm Rotating Shift Job at Deceuninck North America
Deceuninck is seeking an Extrusion Operator for our Fernley, NV plant. Rotating weekly schedule (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off) 12-hour shift - 7am - 7pm
Primary Function
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the incumbent will pack and trouble shoot PVC extrusion lines. Specialist will monitor and document the extrusion process for the entire work shift to safely produce quality extrusion profiles following all company policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform all required duties in a safe manner by following all company policies & procedures.
- Must be able to learn to read part prints, drawings, and schematics.
- Monitor, document, and troubleshoot the extrusion process of all assigned lines at the completion of their training.
- Monitor the extrusion equipment and auxiliary equipment
- Prepare all quality samples every hour as required on the Profile Part Drawing. (cosmetics, dimensional criteria, length, weight, all gauges)
- Be comfortable using a touch screen computer.
- Ability to wear steel toed shoes
- Standing for 12-hour shift
- Communicate vital extrusion process information to the on-coming Specialist.
- Maintain continuous cleaning and inspection of assigned lines and areas.
- Assist other associates as needed.

- Adheres to all safety and environmental considerations.
- Have a strong commitment to safe working practices.
- Wears safety glasses and steel toed shoes at all times while in the production environment.
- Is alert and observes, corrects, and reports unsafe conditions.
- Follows operating procedures and complies with all regulatory requirements.
Education and Experience
- Must be able to learn the use of calipers and tape measure.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
- No degree required
- Ability to work independently and also with members of the management team.
- Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
