*This position is a hybrid of 40% IN-PERSON work out of the NE Seattle office and 60% REMOTE work. *

The Program Coordinator III works directly with Seattle Children's to coordinate and represent community health programs. Responsible for program coordination; coordinating and participating in community engagement outreach events such as health fairs; communicating with community health teams, OBCC and Seattle Children's providers and staff and with community organizations locally and nationally; staffing coalitions, committees and meetings; compiling existing programs; coordinating trainings; preparing education materials and resources; tracking impact, outcomes and results. Support community health strategies at OBCC and Seattle Children's. Assist in collaborations with community organizations, partnerships and promotion of results. Coordinate with community benefit team to disseminate information and integrate efforts. re in support of the individual's performance specific to the program.

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Community Health and Community Engagment:

Coordinate Seattle Children's involvement with community partners, coalitions and committees related to community health. Coordinate and attend community outreach events representing Seattle Children's especially in the areas of community health programming and health education (e.g. Health Fairs, Injury Prevention giveaway events such as life jackets, bike helmets, safe firearm storage devices, etc.). Administratively support the Children's in the Community Committee and other internal hospital committees with responsibilities that include scheduling and coordinating meetings, preparing and sending agendas, meeting coordination, taking minutes, communication with coalition members or community partners and participation on project work groups.

Collaborate with public health, partners, community organizations, and others in the planning and implementation of community health and advocacy projects as well as assist in tracking impact and progress of these projects..

Coordinate and participate in community conversations, listening sessions, event participation and other ways of engaging with communities. This engagement often happens after traditional business hours and on the weekends in communities where our patients and families and community members live, work, study or play.

Compile data, tools, laws, best practices, and other information in support of community health projects.

Assist in the development and evaluation of educational materials, presentations, and other resources for community health and other advocacy projects. Coordinate the review of educational, presentation and other materials with internal and external representatives ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Track progress of program deliverables and communicate progress and outcomes to the team, coordinate and prepare information for reports to funders and community members and stakeholders. Engage in planning and program related communication with staff and coalitions including Healthy King County Coalition, the Washington State Drowning Prevention Network, Safe Kids - WA, Firearm Tragedy Prevention Network and other groups.

Promote materials and tools through outreach to coalitions, partners and other stakeholders, including posting information on the Children's websites (intranet and internet).

Community Health Needs Assessment and Community Benefit:

Monitor progress and results of community benefit and community health initiatives. Support community benefit strategies and specific projects and the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) process, including gathering data, coordinating interviews and listening sessions, and assisting with preparing and publishing the CHNA report.

Assist with the planning and implementation of community benefit projects including trainings and interactive displays. Represent Children's at community health events and programs.

Support communications about community health and community benefit. Assist with the promotion of reports related to community benefit and CHNA.

Office Management and Operational Support

Provide support as needed for the Director and Manager of Community Health. Duties may include scheduling meetings and arranging travel; expense reimbursements; auditing and/or reconciling financial statements and invoices; supporting and coordinating office logistics, including new equipment, room booking, supply ordering, etc.

Serve as a Safety Coach for the Community Health and Government Affairs teams.

Monitor and track departmental sponsorships and programmatic commitments including participation in organization-wide sponsorship committee, results of sponsorships, tracking commitments and payments etc.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience that demonstrates knowledge and competency
  • Within the incumbent's 5 years of program coordination and support experience we'd like a minimum of three (3) of those years to demonstrate progressively responsible experience supporting professional staff in policy, health promotion, government affairs or community relations field, preferably in a community health, public health or a health care environment
  • Performing a combination of the following: coordinating programs, coalitions or committees, community engagement, assessment and evaluation and communications
  • Project coordination in a team environment and experience organizing multiple projects through to completion
  • Data entry using Excel and/or Smartsheet and experience using Outlook to schedule meetings
  • Experience working with multiple and diverse stakeholders, including working with community stakeholders on priority health and advocacy issues
  • Experience in taking detailed notes and crafting meeting minutes
  • Basic budget organization, reconciliation tasks
  • Working with culturally, ethnically and racially diverse people

Required Credentials: - Current Washington State Driver's License

Preferred: - Experience working in public health, health care or social services - Experience working on continuous process improvement projects and strong understanding of lean methodology - Experience in coordinating events and/or project management - Experience with budgeting

Min to Max Hourly Salary

Min: USD $29.48/Hr. Max: USD $44.23/Hr.

Min to Max Annual Salary

Min Salary: USD $61,327.00/Yr. Max Salary: USD $91,990.00/Yr.

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children's offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
