Description
The Program Coordinator, Workforce and Business Solutions coordinates the scheduling, enrollment and logistics of the workforce noncredit open enrollment trainings, classes, and workshops. The Program Coordinator also assists with departmental marketing, administrative duties, online classes and administration, assisting with business clients and training as assigned, special department events, and grant responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Workforce and Business Solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Provides front line customer service for visitors, students, faculty and staff visiting the Workforce Development Office.
2.
Schedules, markets and recruits for open enrollment courses to fill in demand pathways. Works with both prospective students and key partners to fill classes and secure funding, where possible. Coordinates all logistical aspects of the course including, but not limited to, provide supplies, books, all support to the instructor, and support as needed to students.
3.
Manages student enrollment in all open enrollment courses, including tracking of student information, payments, completion, all sales by dollar amount, number of students in each class, any industry certificate earned and other data needed to be collected and provided by the department in a timely manner. Manages and maintains a detailed training calendar of all open enrollment training.
4.
Actively engages with regional job centers to grow enrollment, including scheduling regular recruitment activities with clients and employees. Represents department at job fairs, career fairs and other open enrollment student recruitment opportunities.
5.
Works with marketing department and department personnel to prepare marketing materials, collaterals, website content, social media exposure, and email marketing.
6.
Assists department with logistics related to contract training, as needed, including contracts, scheduling, supplies, marketing and/or other tasks as assigned.
7.
Collaborates with the college community to grow noncredit to credit pathways and opportunities, continue to leverage all departments and offerings for student success.
8.
Performs various office duties including composing and preparing appropriate divisional correspondence and reports, creating and maintaining appropriate files, creating and processing department invoicing, and ordering office and instructional supplies.
9.
Assists with department grant responsibilities, as needed and assigned.
10.
Assists with special projects and events that may take place related to business operations.
11.
All other duties assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s Degree in Business/Marketing or related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three to five years customer service experience
- Minimum three to five years office administration experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proven ability to multi-task within a very busy office environment with numerous interruptions daily; demonstrated ability to accommodate demanding workload with diverse areas of involvement; demonstrated high level of organizational skills to effectively prioritize multiple projects on a daily basis
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite and Constant Contact email marketing.
- Must possess a high degree of initiative, self-direction, and personal integrity required for work involving necessary access to personal and confidential information
- Strong time management, organization and strict adherence to detail required.
- Polished professional attire and grooming, consistent with college image.
- Must possess very good oral and written communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation; ability to work with a very diverse group of individuals
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and detailed reports. Ability to proofread reports and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
