Our Bus Center of Excellence (BusCoE) organization is seeking a Technology Demonstration 2024 Bus Program Manager who will be responsible for execution and all aspects of the bus to achieve the cost, schedule and technical objectives of the project. The project supports continued development of the LM400 product line as well as demonstrating new payload capabilities in support of new business opportunities and missions.

As the LM400 Satellite Bus Program Manager, you will be the programmatic lead for design and integration of a bus into a program spacecraft. Responsibilities include:
  • Program Management within a small cross-functional team to ensure successful delivery of Bus products for a Technical Demonstration mission
  • Lead day to day execution of the Bus program, including management of program performance, cost and schedule baseline
  • Provide status updates on a regular basis to include metrics, technical issues, and programmatic issues
  • Run the business reviews and performance reporting for bus scope (scaled for an IRAD project)
  • Monitor adherence to program plans and schedules, identify issues and develop appropriate solutions in accordance with LM policies and procedures
  • Work effectively with other leads on the program to direct the work of employees and subcontractors to obtain successful outcomes
  • Work closely with the Bus CoE Product Management and Program Chief Engineer/Systems Engineering Manager in leading staffing needs for the team
  • Work with program leadership and engineers to implement process improvements for greater affordability while maintaining positive relationships

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience working on a space or missile program
  • Experience with projects that include development, implementation, integration, and testing
  • Program/Project Management experience with the ability to articulate complex technical and programmatic issues to peers, management and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and to deliver products on schedule
Desired Skills:
  • Strong desire to learn and grow as leader within new "go fast" development project
  • Familiarity with small satellite Bus architectures and systems
  • Experience with budget management & subcontract management
  • Experience with Engineering development processes and all phases of development life cycle (to include proposal, design, qualification, requirements verification/validation, production and deployed system support)
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment and to effectively communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders about complex technical issues
  • Strong system integration, team building and communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $118,100 - $226,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $135,800 - $256,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
