Key Details:

  • Pay Range: $55,000-$60,000 annually.
  • Benefits: Healthcare coverage reimbursement (~$500/month), 3% contribution to 401k, paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays.
  • Location: Onsite in NW Portland.
  • Schedule: Flexible, 40 hours/week; some evening hours required for neighborhood association meetings/events between 5pm-9pm (avg. 5 per month).

Who We Are: Neighbors West-Northwest is the neighborhood coalition representing 7 Northwest and 4 Southwest Neighborhood Associations encompassing one of the most varied sections of Portland, where heavy industry, commerce and a variety of residential communities co-exist with large, pristine natural areas and riparian habitats.

NWNW provides a forum for these 11 boards to interact, share resources and complement each other’s efforts. It also offers a key channel for the city and elected officials to quickly disseminate information to a wide range of neighbors. Who You Are: Neighbors West North West is looking for a Program Manager to focus on our grants program, fiscal sponsorships, and support on IT-related needs for the organization. In this position, you’ll train neighborhood volunteers, manage grant programs and maintain neighborhood membership databases with MailChimp, SimpleList, and AirTable software.

Requirements include:

  • 0-2+ years’ experience in an IT role, or equivalent degree in lieu of professional experience
  • 0-2+ years’ of web administration experience
  • Experience using WordPress, MailChimp, SimpleList and/or AirTable.
  • Ability to provide exemplary customer service to all people from all backgrounds

Preferred:

  • Experience using AirTable (or other database management software)
  • An understanding of the Portland Neighborhood System
  • Experience working in a non-profit environment
  • Experience working with grants

What You’ll Do:

The Program Manager will be a utility player and function in several capacities as a member of the Neighbors West North West team. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Grant Program Management

  • Grant management for grants programs and funds
  • Manage the request for proposal and grant packaging process
  • Work with team to review and approve grant requests based on program requirements.
  • Work with a team to identify grantees based on grant application process
  • Track grant awards and management of awards from initial phase to final expenditures and report phase
  • Compile information from grantees and synthesize it into a formal report or summary
  • Submit final expenses and project reports or summaries from grantees
  • Other duties as assigned

IT Support & Management

  • Review web content, links, and design in order to provide necessary updates and enhancements in a timely manner
  • Monitor site security, report suspected or actual security breaches and denial of service attacks
  • Implement and manage appropriate security measures such as firewalls or message encryption for the organization
  • Complete site updates
  • Development and implementation of backup, recovery, and business continuity plans
  • Maintaining knowledge and expertise in web design and development
  • Manage membership database for 12 different organizations’ members via AirTable and SimpleList
  • Set up PC computers in a Microsoft environment
  • General web administration in support of duties listed above
  • Monthly eNewsletter support
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
