SUMMARY
As Program Manager for Spacecraft, you will be responsible for managing the development of a new prototype spacecraft that will launch early next year on our Alpha launch vehicle. This role will then evolve to lead the first operational spacecraft with another year after. With a small team of technical experts, you will manage the cost and schedule of the program in addition to helping leverage this demonstration spacecraft to win new contracts for not just LEO spacecraft but also for spacecraft that will be deployed in the Cis-Lunar space.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with leadership to drive and facilitate the strategic planning process while managing the schedule and budget for Space Utility Vehicle Program
  • Communicate project status with team and stakeholders regularly and senior management
  • Manage Integrated Master Schedule and oversee all tasking to ensure that Space
  • Manage high level staffing strategy, including position creation, prioritization, and management of program structure
  • Manage program finances and accounting
  • Work with our ERP system as the key tool of tracking material orders and costs
  • Manage program risks (ID, mitigate, track), including long lead items and suppliers
  • Serve as point of contact for NASA and other Payload customers, and represent Firefly at conferences, reviews, and investor meetings
  • Measure and report program performance
  • Develop and negotiate Statements of Work

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

  • BS in Aerospace Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Document and organize a plan to ensure all potential scenarios within the project are addressed and managed
  • Strong project and risk management skills/knowledge
  • 7+ years of experience in program management, preferably on US government spacecraft contracts
  • Must be a self-starter, adept at leading complex projects and influencing people across multiple organizations
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to track and improve program performance metrics

Desired

  • A strong Systems Engineering background and understanding of spacecraft
  • Experience working the full life cycle of a spacecraft program
  • MS in Aerospace Engineering or Engineering Management
  • Familiarity with JAMA, Atlassian Confluence and Jira, and NX
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001
  • Active security clearance
