Role Summary/ Purpose
Fulfill programmer/analyst functions for the WestPoint Home Warehousing & Distribution functions including all phases of application development (requirements definition, design and analysis, programming, testing and implementation, ongoing support) in an IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment. Applications include Warehouse Management Systems and related integrations to 3rd party shipping and warehouse automation systems.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop and code new programs and modify existing programs written in RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL, SEQUEL, and Query within the IBM iSeries (AS/400) environment
- Work with 3rd party vendors on installing new software releases/versions
- Work with users and management associates to understand and document system requirements; turn those requirements into functional systems.
- Engage in proactive process improvement by spending time in the distribution center working with DC management and users
- Work with users to develop, program, test, and implement new systems and system modifications
- Research issues, problems, and questions raised by WPH users – data and program analysis, problem resolution, process improvement, etc.
- Support systems on both the IBM iSeries (AS/400) and Microsoft Windows platforms
- Knowledge of TL Ashford barcode software and UPS/FedEx shipping systems a plus
Qualifications
- University degree in IT, computer programing, or related field
