Project Coordinator Job at Hennepin Healthcare
Hennepin Healthcare is an integrated system of care that includes HCMC, a nationally recognized Level I Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center and acute care hospital. SUMMARY:
- Coordinates major project events such as the kickoff, milestone readiness reviews, and celebration
- Coordinates activities, resources, equipment and information and update key project documents as needed
- Identifies, researches, and resolves project issues and escalates as appropriate
- Assures project team completion of action items
- Assists in the development and analysis of data as required
- Contributes to ongoing departmental and project-specific process improvement efforts
- Assists staff with operational, project, system or administrative tasks
- Meets with the project leader or manager to understand all vital aspects of the particular project
- Coordinates projects and meetings with cross-functional teams
- Ensures that all team members understand the scope of the project as well as what they are individually responsible for
- Compiles and maintains interim project reports and minutes of meetings
- Communicates relevant information to all team members
- Assists the project leader in various activities such as budget monitoring and in meetings with management
- Supports throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field
- Three to five years of experience in coordinating project activities, preferably in Healthcare Organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities

- An approved equivalent combination of training and experience
- Knowledge of or an understanding of Change Management best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level, external and internal clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines
- Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both client-facing and internal communication
- Passion for innovation and strong interest in Change Management best practices
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing priorities
- Strong customer/client service orientation
- Provide support in the area of vendor set up and invoice processing and of preparation budget reports
